Message from the Head of Department

On behalf of the Computer Science Department at Al-Azhar College Of Arts and Science, it gives me great pleasure and satisfaction to extend my greetings to all of the students and their parents. We embarked our academic journey in the year of 2012. The Bachelor of Computer Application programme run by our Department are job-oriented which not only imparts knowledge but also makes one competitive at the global level. In order to keep pace with the latest developments and trends in Information Technology, the Department organizes workshops and extension lectures. These workshops and lectures help the students to boost their knowledge and confidence. Here the students are given independent projects to work upon to explore their skills and abilities which also acts as a tool for self-judgment.

The primary focus of our curriculum is to impart technical knowledge to students, to promote problem solving skills and there by trigger the interest in innovation of new technologies. The course content are periodically updated for introducing new scientific and technological developments. Students are encouraged to undertake various projects, fest and competitions.
