An observation visit in social work is a foundational field training method where students or professionals visit agencies, communities, or institutions to gain firsthand experience of professional practice, organizational functioning, and client interactions. It bridges theoretical knowledge with practical reality, enabling the observation of behavioral patterns, service delivery methods, and environmental contexts. The Social work Department of Al-Azhar College of Arts and Science, Thodupuzha, makes serious efforts to make the curriculum more skill based and practical. As part of curriculum the students of social work department went for observation visit at Trivandrum. The organization are Helping hands organization, Nila school of happiness, Kerala state council for child welfare and Loyola Extension Services.
