The NSS Unit of Al-Azhar College of Arts and Science successfully organized a comprehensive campus and community cleaning campaign on October 1, 2026, as part of the National Swachhata Hi Seva initiative.
Dedicated teams worked enthusiastically to clear plastic waste and wild vegetation from the college campus, followed by an extensive cleaning drive targeting public pathways and open spaces within Kumaramangalam Panchayat. The volunteers also interacted with local shopkeepers and residents to raise awareness about effective dry waste segregation and reducing single-use plastics.
The collected waste was systematically sorted and handed over to the local Haritha Karma Sena for safe disposal and recycling, beautifully upholding the NSS motto of "Not Me, But You."
