In response to the growing threat of synthetic and chemical narcotics across the state, the Kerala Police initiated an aggressive campaign titled "Operation Toofan: The Narco Hunt." As a part of this massive enforcement and public outreach drive, an intensive anti-drug awareness class was conducted for the students of Al-Azhar College of Arts and Science, Thodupuzha, spanning from 10 June 2026 to 12 June 2026. The main objective of the three-day awareness drive was to educate the youth about the physical, mental, and severe legal consequences of substance abuse, effectively creating a strong social barrier against drug infiltration on college campuses.

The awareness sessions were led by Biju V.A., Sub-Inspector of Police from Police Station, Thodupuzha. Drawing from real-time field data and the ongoing statewide crackdown, the Sub-Inspector provided an authoritative and eye-opening perspective on how modern drug syndicates operate. The event successfully concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session, where students clarified doubts regarding peer pressure management and the psychological aspects of addiction.
