The Department of Commerce, in association with IQAC of Al-Azhar College of Arts and Science, organized a Fashion Show titled “Threads of Glory” on 7th August 2025 at 11.00 am in the A Block Auditorium as part of National Handloom Day celebrations. The program began with a welcome speech by Mrs. Rasia P A, Head of the Department of Commerce, followed by an inaugural address by Dr. Ferosh M Basheer, Principal of Al-Azhar College of Arts and Science. The event was coordinated by Ms. Amrutha Appu, Faculty, Commerce Department. Students from first, second, and third-year B.Com classes enthusiastically participated, showcasing beautiful handloom-based outfits that reflected creativity and tradition. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Mrs. Arya Sasi, Faculty, Commerce Department. The program highlighted the importance of handloom and provided students with a platform to display their talent and teamwork.
