The Department of Microbiology, Al-Azhar College of Arts and Science, Thodupuzha, organized an Inter-College Poster Making Competition on the occasion of World Cancer Day on 5th February 2026. The programme was conducted with the objective of creating awareness about cancer prevention, early detection, and the importance of research and public health initiatives in cancer control.
The competition was held at the BCA Classroom and witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of various colleges. A total of 10 participants from different colleges took part in the event, showcasing their creativity, scientific understanding, and social responsibility through visually impactful posters related to cancer awareness.
The posters were evaluated by a panel of judges based on creativity, relevance to the theme, clarity of message, and overall presentation. The competition provided an engaging academic environment and promoted healthy inter-collegiate interaction.
