The Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Arabic is a four-year undergraduate program under the FYUGP framework that offers an in-depth study of the Arabic language, literature, and culture. The course is designed to develop proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking Arabic, while also exploring classical and modern Arabic literature, linguistics, translation, and Arab history. Students gain a broad understanding of the socio-cultural and intellectual traditions of the Arab world. The program also includes interdisciplinary electives, skill enhancement courses, and project work. Graduates are well-equipped for careers in education, translation, media, diplomacy, tourism, and for pursuing higher studies in Arabic language and literature. Eligibility Candidates shall be required to have passed Plus Two or equivalent examination or an examination recognised by this University as equivalent thereto. In addition to the normal eligibility criteria, candidates should have working knowledge in Arabic and studied Arabic in Secondary/ Higher Secondary /Equivalent course.
