ONE DAY WORKSHOP ON GROUND WATER CONSERVATION

One day workshop on Ground Water Conservation (Kattakkada Model) has been jointly organised by the Department of Geology, Al-Azhar College of Arts and Science and the Ground Water Department, Idukki, Govt. of Kerala on 05.01.2024. The auspicious function began with college payer. One day workshop has been inaugurated by Haji.KM Moosa, Hon'ble Chairman, Al-Azhar Group of Institutions, in the presence of the academic freternity. Dr.Sasidharan V, the Principal, presided over the function. Mr. Anuroop RL, District Officer, Gound Water Department, Idukki welcomed the delegates and Mr.Aneesh M Ali, Hydrogeologist, Gound Water Department, Idukki extended vote of thanks. Mrs.G Bindu, Superentending Hydogeologist(Retired) lead the workshop.

Dr.Thomas Francis, Vice Principal, Mrs.Pepsia Karim, Dean, Student Services, Mrs. Binitha VM, Secretary, College Council, Mr.Mohith R Sekher, HoD, Dept. of Geology, Mr.Subhash Sekher, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Geology and Mr.Shammas Basheer, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Computer Science felicitated at the function. 11 students from Bishop Kurialacherry for women, Amalagiri, Kottayam accompanied by faculties, Ms. Ambili Arya and Mrs. Arya Binukumar also participated in the workshop.

Meeting concluded at 01:00 pm. Files, writing materials, refreshments and Lunch have been provided to every delegate by the Ground Water Department, Idukki.
